In Honor of Satoru Iwata

Today has been a day of mourning in the gaming world for the passing of a legendary member of the Nintendo Family, Satoru Iwata. Since he joined Nintendo in the 1980's he's had a major hand in just about everything we loved about Nintendo as a kid, working as a programer, developer, all the way up to corporate president.

To honor his memory I spent most of my afternoon playing the classic Nintendo games he had a hand in developing. He loved gaming and I feel like the best way to remember him would be to enjoy his creations. After all, giving people an outlet to have fun was his passion.

Rest in peace Mr. Iwata, and thank you for the wonderful gifts you've given us. You'll always be in our hearts during our trips to video land.

"Above all, video games are meant to be just one thing: fun. Fun for everyone." -Satoru Iwata.
